Dear Jenny and Gordon,
We wish you the same, still from Hong Kong where we saw the same spectacular fireworks as you probably did earlier this evening.
We will return tomorrow (Wednesday) evening to the snow in Switzerland.
With kind regards / Paul

Hello Jenny,

We met in Chicago at your IMC presentation. I hope all is well with you and that book is reaching a wide audience.

A question, after viewing the report, may I use some of the graphics and quote parts of it and your presentation in a training presentation on managing client relations that I am working on for the IMC? I will be sure to seek permission for specific quotes and graphics and will make sure they are properly attributed.

Thanks and best regards,

Don Scellato CMC

Thanks for the noteworthy report! Your findings are perhaps predictable. As a sole-practisioner consultant in the RFP Process Management space most of my clients hire/rehire me because I personally manage their project--they get to deal with a principal in more than just a ceremonial/sales capacity. All consulting firms struggle with the actual execution of the consulting services which are dependant on the skills/dedication of the entire team and process and when you add distance to the equation, this has an adverse impact.

Many larger consulting companies are not goal or results-oriented in a way that is clearly oriented to their customers goals/results, they are more interested in bilking their customers for billings and/or have so many caveats or conditions on the client realizing a successful result on their project that it muddies the end result and greatly diminishes the accountability of the consulting entity.
